A man targeted a woman on a mobility scooter during a daylight robbery at a gas station.
The suspect asked the woman for spare change at Shell’s Dudley Street station in West Bromwich on January 4.
He then snatched her purse, causing her scooter to be put into circulation in the terrifying ordeal, which took place between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

A member of the public heroically chased the man as he walked down Cordley Street and was able to retrieve the purse. However, the suspect managed to escape.
Officers are now requesting information that may help their investigation.
West Midlands Police have released a CCTV photo of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.
A force spokesman said: “If you recognize the person in the CCTV footage, please contact us. Message us via live chat on our website or call 101.

They added: “We are seeking information after a woman on a mobility scooter was stolen from the Shell service station on Dudley Street, West Bromwich.
“It happened on January 4 between 10:30 and 11 a.m. The suspect asked the woman for change before snatching her purse, causing her scooter to roll down the road. He fled into Dudley Street towards Cordley Street.
“A member of the public chased the suspect and recovered the purse, but the suspect managed to escape.”
