Studio M brings new meaning to Throwing Shade

With creative silhouette patterns featuring roses, birds and more, each shade is carefully crafted at Studio M’s St. Louis facility.

Studio M introduced an all-new collection of Decorative Exterior Shades at AmericasMart Atlanta in early January. The new concept, Silhouette Shades, is a unique twist on typical exterior privacy panels. An alternative to heavy exterior curtains or structured screens, Silhouette Shades provide privacy while allowing in some breeze and sunlight.

“The intricate cutouts, classic white color, and subtle texture make this a versatile piece that will blend seamlessly into any decor style,” said Margo Tantau, Director of Product Innovation at Studio M. “C It’s amazing what Sharyn (shade designer) can do with just scissors and a sheet of paper. She has this unique ability to take something simple and create an intricately detailed work of art. It was such a pleasure to work with Sharyn to bring something totally new to market.

Silhouette Shades are sustainably made from lightweight, recyclable Dupont Tyvek material for outdoor durability. Shades are mildew, moisture and UV resistant. Each shade has six grommets – three at the top for easy hanging using hooks, string or ribbon, and three at the bottom to secure the shade if needed. The shades are available for retailers to shop online immediately. Visit Studio M to see the full collection, plus the rest of Studio M’s January releases.
