Liverpool’s top five transfer goals as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his squad

After losing the title to Manchester City last season, Liverpool have stepped up efforts to improve their squad to challenge Pep Guardiola’s side this season. They have already finalized the signing of Ibrahima Konate, the highly regarded 22-year-old former Leipzig defender.

Here are, however, according to reports, the five transfers Liverpool are planning for this transfer window.

1. Domenico Berardi

As Berardi prepares for tomorrow’s Euro 2020 final against England, Liverpool have stepped up their efforts to land Sassuolo’s man. Reports suggest the Italian is “tempted” to take a “big leap” in the summer.

2. Adama Traore

Explosive right-winger Traore is another man on Liverpool’s radar. The Wolves player has been described by Jurgen Klopp as “unplayable” after the two teams met in the last campaign. Liverpool have since been linked with the wide man and he could add a dynamic element to their attack.

3. Mikkel Damsgaard

Author of Denmark’s sensational free kick in their 2-1 overtime loss to England, 21-year-old Damsgaard has caught the radar of a multitude of top European clubs. Nothing more than Liverpool who have joined Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as a host of big Serie A teams to secure their services.

Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero has claimed £ 34million will be the required fee to sign him.

4. Federico Chiesa

Liverpool’s pursuit for a new striker ties them to Italy’s Federico Chiesa according to a report. The Juventus winger has drawn attention with her performance at Euro this summer and it is suggested the old lady would seek £ 77million if she wanted to offload him.

5. Youri Tielemans

Following Gini Wijnaldum’s departure from PSG, Liverpool made Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans their main target to replace the Dutch star. Tielemans was in impressive form for the Foxes last season and caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp.

Voetbal 24 claim Liverpool are ready to spend £ 64million to land the Belgian international midfielder.
