A new exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum titled “1997: Detroit Red Wings Featuring Coach Scotty Bowman: will open Friday (November 4).

Bowman will be on hand to cut the ribbon for the new exhibit, cast his handprints in cement for an installation in Legends Plaza and participate in a short media interview, according to a statement.

The exhibit “tells the story of the Detroit Red Wings’ Stanley Cup winning season in 1997 – the year Hockeytown was born.” The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 5 November.

25 Best Michigan Companies to Work For in 2022

Michigan is full of great places to work. But what if you’re looking to turn things around and find a new employer in the Keystone State? Luckily, we now have a comprehensive list of the best companies to work for in the state, updated for 2022, thanks to the staff at Forbes.

The just-released study is Forbes’ fourth survey of top employers. For this, the outlet looked at 1,382 companies in the United States and ranked them in every state, as well as Washington, D.C. The publication teamed up with market research firm Statista to survey 70,000 Americans working for companies with at least 500 employees.

“Whether working remotely or from the office, Americans’ priorities have shifted,” Forbes says in the study. “Employers have had to motivate talent, fight burnout and ensure the well-being and safety of their workers, all while chasing profits in a sensitive political landscape that has spurred new levels of corporate activism – not to mention a growing gap in what people expect from institutions and businesses.

Forbes adds, “It is in this context that Forbes has partnered with market research firm Statista to compile our fourth annual list of America’s Top Employers by State. The list is divided into 51 rankings – one for each of the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia – and was compiled by surveying 70,000 Americans working for companies with at least 500 employees. The surveys were conducted anonymously, allowing participants to freely share their opinions. The final list ranks the 1,382 employers who received the most referrals.
